A long time ago, there was a boy who decided to try out this weird sport called volleyball; mostly because his sister played it and, well, it looked like fun. Little did he know, it would become one of the central components of his life and the gateway to one of the best communities he had ever been a part of.

Fast forward 20 years and include a love for coaching and seeing others succeed, and you get TheVolleyNerd: player, coach, trainer, and ambassador. Of those 20 years as a player, I have been coaching for 12, and have coached every level of athlete from beginner to professional. I have played in multiple countries, states, venues, and surfaces, with and against some of the best players in the nation. I have played and coached at the biggest tournaments, and have loved every minute of it.

I strive to learn every year and get better and better as both a coach and as a player. My philosophy can be summed up simply: Never Give Up - A.K.A. - One Step At A Time.

Every challenge can be overcome if you are willing to pay the cost. Effort is its own reward and volleyball is an incredible gift to be able to play. If I can help even one person fall in love with the game, I will consider myself a success.

My dream as a player is to sign a professional contract (whatever form that takes) and my dream as a coach is to be a collegiate program coach.

I hope my knowledge can be a bridge for any player that seeks to improve themselves and stand on the court at their best level, competing against players they used to look up to.
